Really hoping this Tassie tour can be a goer around March 2021..and even into April. Would be a great trip to replace our WA tour that had to be postponed. Feb is too early for me.....My bike is currently in Russia 😜 and will not be here until Feb some time. Assuming Covid is under control and the borders are all open (and I have a bike) I am busting to go.

All good Lee!...to my mind sooner rather than later. March 2021 is looking good all being well. To be more specific the start dates could well be catching the ferry in Melbourne on the night of Sunday 7th March or alternatively Sunday 14th March to start the ride on the Monday after disembarking the ferry at Devonport. Both those start dates allow a night trip over and for those just doing the Tassie Rip a night trip back on the following Friday night. Not all days do a night trip so it’s important to adhere to the start dates. If you remember! our first ride to Tassie in 2017 was from the 7th March to the 28th March and we had great weather. The earlier start would be the better one because those that want to stay on won’t get tangled up in the Tassie Easter hype. Tasmanian’s love their holidays and generally start them early and finish them late!... that’s from experience!...Rob and I got caught up in a Tassie Easter once!... never again! As with other trips Lee I will post up accommodation details at each place we overnight at, but first things first let me put a bit more thought into the start date.😎

14th suits me as I have a commitment on 6-7th.......it is possible to get out of it though.......and it’s not ‘all about me’.....🤣 Also helps if there is any hold up with my bike. 😷

What happens if WA is on?

What happens if WA is on? As per the following from G & J.......it is not on. “Therefore, the best course of action is to cancel SWAARSTY and wait until the Covid situation settles down completely before rescheduling the event for 2022 or later. Doing this now should enable anyone who has already paid a deposit for accommodation or travel to get a refund. It also gives everyone time to make other plans for 2021.”

Wheels, that sounds like a great travelling rip. We would head South again after Devonport and look at staying at Snug or somewhere for a further 5 days. Lots of good places/trips/rides to do from Snug. Will listen to Tassie mates for further suggestions of a 5 day base somewhere. 😷 Whilst still currently working (part time) I don’t think I qualify as ‘young’....... But, I am definitely interested, including the extra days

Mmm Very interesting. Have been under pressure from the co_ pilot for some time about a return to Tassie. Will keep watching. March not that far away.
