Hello all. My name is Kate. Mum of two boys 11 and 13. So I decided three years ago I needed a sidecar to be able to accomodate all of us. I bought a Sahara in 2018 new, and haven’t looked back. I was new to sidecars then, but totally love it now. We have covered over 12,000 kms, and I’ve put my Ural through some rigorous tests. All of which has made me a better pilot and much more confident on three wheels. I’ve flat tracked with it, taken it over a Motorcross track a few times and fast pace long MX track at an event called ‘Dirt Daze’, where we were encouraged to have good vibes and bad influences. I’m also a regular at an all women’s moto camp out called ‘Shielas Shakedown’ and my Ural is always a main attraction, the girls love it. These bikes come alive in the dirt. I’ve done a fair bit of long freeway hauls, preferring to sit under the speed limits as that’s where it’s most comfortable. She is often covered with camping gear so I’ve put all the luggage spots to the test roo. I have also trained up our dog, a boxer Staffy cross and he also loves the chair. I have found him in the shed a few times just sitting in the sidecar waiting to go out. That’s a bit about me. I look forward to chatting to the three wheeled club members.

G’day Kate, welcome. Sounds like you really enjoy your riding. I am pretty new to this but loving it and wish I had taken the sidecar up years earlier. My wife rides as well but at the moment loves her 1200GS although she has had a couple of rides on the Ural. This is a great forum with great people and a willingness to help others which I am sure you wIll already notice. Enjoy
Jake

Hi Jake. And thanks for the welcome. I’ve also had a plethora of two wheels in my shed. Currently there is also a 83 CB900 Boldor that used to belong to my dad and the all important CT110 Postie bike. They boys and I also have dirt bikes. Anything with wheels, we love it.

Hey Kate . I'm fairly new here also. Only had my Ural for a month . You sound like a pro racer with the places you've taken yours. My Rottie loves the sidecar, always excited when I ask if he wants to go for a ride. I had a few fuelling/carby issues when I first got the bike , but sorted through those. 1000k on it so far. I took it for our longest ride last weekend for the loop over Mt Glorious. 180klm with lots of stops for the dog walks and swims. Feeling reasonably confident on 3 wheels now. It's life in the slow lane but with a big smile.............Ian

Hi Kate and welcome. I am not new here 🤣. I spotted a Sahara in Seaford some time ago, was that you? I was pressed for time so could not give chase. I am in Mt Eliza.
Cheers, lee

Hi. Sorry I’m not very good with forums but I hope to get better at it. Yes. I’m in sunny Seaford so I’m guessing it was me you saw.
And I’m on Insta, known as the TattoodHoon.
Thanks for the replies and welcome notes.
