At nearly 50 I’m only just feeling like I have an ounce of life experience and so much more to learn. Can’t wait to learn how to ride the Ural and soak up all those wonderful experiences along the way!

And....
It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that I received my $deposit back from the dealer in Sydney (Gasoline Motor Cycles) to-day.
Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to wait at least 6 months or more for production to resume, either in Russia or Kazakhstan or wherever.
And I'm not blaming IMZ-Ural, nor Ural Aust for the delays, but guess who....
I shouldn't have fluffed about back in October, maybe I would be riding down the road to-day!
So gentlemen, enjoy your rides,
Cheers.
Mick

I also cancelled my order, too many unknowns in terms of delivery date, quality assurance, component supply, final spec. Not prepared to drop 30K (or more with tariffs) with all these unknowns and will wait for a couple of years for things to settle down. In the meantime will ride my 2014 until it dies (and then rebuild it).

And I've done it again!!
I saw that Tvan (Glen) had his 20 Ranger for sale, so I snaffled it.
Not prepared to wait until IMG Ural get RHD bikes to Aust, if they do.
Going to see Jon Taylor next week for some instructions.
Should be delivered late next week and I'll be on the road soon after.
Stay clear for a little while!
Cheers
Mick

Well done Mick, I nearly missed the boat too. I may have one of the last Irbit produced bikes. Still, at least you've got the Ranger now.
Word of warning, Uralla is really cold at this time of year. I was there week before last and it was 1 degree when I arrived at Ural. Rug up, and enjoy your time with Jon. It's brilliant training. I've now put 2,200km on mine since delivery and at least half that in city traffic. The training, and muscle memory you get from the training is imperative to keep you safe when you're around other vehicles.
Enjoy the ride!

It's all done and dusted! Took the beast for a ride this morning, Awsome stuff. And, MikeR, that road is getting worse and worst, especially on a Ural! It's bad enough in the Mazda! Cheers, Mick
