Here we go again LOL😁😁. Results of a little sleuthing about the US 2023 model. Some might be fact, some may not make it to the Aussie Model. Sidecar shaft CV change. Tappet roller bearings to extend valve adjustment period. Engine cases are now manufactured by others. Stator Cover is now cast into the Eng cases. CT model no longer produced. Only 2 versions of the GU. Cost 20-22k US dollars.
Has anyone else got anything to add?? For further reading visit the SS web page. Not their FB site.
For me,I hope they have fixed the sidestand. Hope the roller tappets can be retro fitted. Hope they fixed the left swing arm bearing at the axle better. Hoping a low octane fuel module is available. (Not holding breath) Hoping Ural address the hotter running motor.(we live in hope of lower compression while retaining EU 5 compliance)

Mostly correct from my source. Roller rockers and CV will retro fit. Don’t know about the Stator cover….since the stator is inside the alternator..😳
As for your xmas list…🤣🤣 What sidestand or do you mean centrestand ?

New roller tappets require a cam change. Refer lastest from Heindl Eng. Note Ilya's comments.

Does anyone know if the lefty sidecar drive train is getting the cv joints as well?? On the matter of "stator covers". Should be read as "Starter cover" I think? Not to sure about the new rocker cover gaskets just yet. The new crank cases and general improvements to the machining tolerances will certainly help with any oil leakage. However, only a trial fitment to our respective model year will prove the worth of retro fitting these gaskets.Same with sili gaskets.Wasn't aware the rocker cover torque needed to be reduced to prevent the gasket squeezing out. Merry Xmas to all.

Lefty, righty CV shaft same, same. 👍
What oil leaks? 😜. Only ever had one minor drip from alternator drive…..14 years and numerous Urals.

Thought the length may have changed with the output change to the left. I doubt anyone has actually compared/measured the two? I assume the universal cannot be swapped for a cv joint. Hence the need to change the whole assembly. What oil leaks?? The ones that occur when the sili gasket extrudes😆😆

New roller tappets require a cam change. Refer lastest from Heindl Eng. Note Ilya's comments. Having finally got around to watching the video, it won't be a simple retro fit for the Gen 1 guys. Cam, Roller Tappets, Push Rods and rocker adjusting cups (if you can get them, last time I spoke to UralHQ the rocker arms were one piece even thought the parts list shows them as individual). Rockers will depend on the age of them I guess, but if you are going the whole hog, why not. A new Timing gear change to match the new cam gear since the Gen 1 bikes are 'numbered' sets as well as figuring out if the rear needle bearing on the cam shaft is right since changes were made between the gen 1 and gen 2 EFI models. Personally I can't see it being a worthwhile modification for the Gen 1 guys - better off spending the money on a Ural Gen 2 TB upgrade.

There were some "Comments" with the video from the US which suggested David had mis spoke about compatabilty..I guess for the reasons you mention..Cheers haitch. PS Prices and availability might also be a road block for some.

Most major upgrades just for the sake of the upgrade are rarely cost effective.
