Just my take on an alternative, easier means of attaching and removing the standard bench seat.

Good work H. If you are still holding the two bolts under the guard, spot the heads onto a plate and fit up from below. Nuts on top…..and you never need go under the guard again. You could tap threads in a thin plate for the top to make sure the bolts never fall out. I just used double nuts on top. The 3/4 seat does not need the front bolt either…….just two nuts from the top and mine is off like milk in the sun. 😜

I put "Rivnuts" in to hold the whole shootin match down at the tail light bracket. Now, just the front to deal with and thats just a 3/8 socket just in front of the battery.

Good on the Rivnuts….👍. Try covering the thread on the front bolt till it is a push fit. Mine does not move.

I've never taken the seat off , what fun am I missing out on ? Ha ha lots Keith, Lots. Just tuck up under the back of the seat and undo the 2 socket head button screws to release the seat. It may be easier for non- 2wd. For the 2022 the FD and that big muffer prevents access from the right side. Drive shaft and sidecar body plus other bits from the left.

I replaced the two BHSS with regular hex head screws, no problem with mud filling the sockets. Also made up a 100mm extension at the front, now it's not an issue getting the seat off
