Hi Geoff, No I don't know of any Urals on the Canning, just a KLR 650. He had about the same track as a Ural, maybe a bit wider. Yes it seems most K100/1100 outfits that cruise the outback have the same track as a Landcruiser! On my last run up the Strzelecki Track and over to Cameron Corner, I had 20/25/30 psi. The average speed was 50-60 km/h so heat was not a problem on the rear. I went up to standard pressure about 100 km north of Broken Hill as the bitumen stretches became longer. On a normal day run in the Adelaide hills I run normal as well. As you say, handling on hard dirt and gravel is okay at normal pressure. (Gives you a good chance to play with throttle steering ).
