An update for the September ride .
Departing from Ipswich on the 7 th of September at 8 am .
Get there a bit earlier if you wish for greetings so we can get away on time.
PM or phone /text me for the exact street location , near the Ipswich show grounds .
Looks like it will be an eleven day trip but as we will never be that far from the Brisbane area you could jump out at any time and be home in five minutes.......sort of.
At this stage there will be four bikes , maybe five so still room if you want to join.
Cheers,
Andrew 0408 707 909.

We had a great trip that was reduced to 7 days with weather conditions less than ideal. Showers on most days but no drenchings and only mild temps. Just packing up wet tents each day was a bit of a PIA. Mostly forest roads and tracks with short bursts of Hwy to get to the next turnoff and quite a few miles of quiet country back roads, sealed and unsealed. Rough camping in NPs and State forests and roadside was all good. No blood and no bike failures or punctures. The rain defeated us on one ascent as by the time we had chopped out a tree root that was causing us to bottom out, the track had become too slippery and the subsequent descent was pretty treacherous as well. Andy did a great job mapping out a pretty challenging course that sometimes even confused the gps. The extremities of the geography were roughly, Ipswich, Bunya Mtns, Tiaro, Inskip Point, Kilkoy and back to Ippy. (Not a big area, but some 1300 ks. There are a couple of videos on my Fb page (look for Chris Davy Ipswich) I'll try to put a few stills up here.
