Hi all,

KIRTSY 2013 will depart Australia late in the afternoon of Sunday the 8th of September for a gentle 5 day ride around Kangaroo island, returning to Australia on the mid morning Friday ferry. Hopefully these time will make it easy for riders that are able to get that week off.

The ride will be a bit different from KIRSTY 2012 with different accommodation, some new sights and different roads (as much as is possible on KI).

If everyone can email back within a few days if they are or will be attempting to attend. I’ll finalise the number by the 1st of August when booking will have to be made.

It will be a fun trip, we don’t do big distances and long days, total distance on the Island will be around 600km so plenty of time for socialising and sightseeing.

Hi All,

Having looked into a couple of accommodation options I was considering on K.I. found they were booked out. So thought I had better get into gear and make some bookings by the end of this week. Guess the KI advertising campaigns must be working.

Looking at the YHA at Penneshaw for the first night as last year, 2 nights at a farm stay on Western KI and 2 nights in cabins near Kingscote. For bookings we’ll do the same as last year, I’ll make tentative booking and each participant will confirm and pay for their accommodation. For the boat, I can probably get some discounts so will let you know that early next week.

SWAP MEET:- (Primarily aimed at South Australian Ural Riders - but everyone's invited)

For those that aren’t aware I’m chairman of the Willunga & Districts Lions annual Swap Meet. It’s a big event and it’s on Sunday August 18th.
