Hey Uralee. Our local cop waves to us as we go past. Maybe he would stop if we was down to canvas. Thats one thing about the Ural. Never been pulled up on it. Same cant be said of me on other bikes. Maybe it's the available horsepower.

I always wave to the cops......especially the ones that think they are hiding.

Riding gently obviously looks after the tires.....

Quick question: Is there a 3.50 18 inch tyre with a side profile that matches the 19inch tyre in overall diameter?

I know what you are thinking........and the answer is NO.
For a start, the Retro is 400x18. Secondly, a 19 will not fit on the rear.
I have a couple of very cheap brand new 350x19 for your Bullet if you would like them.

Lee; if you still have those 3.50 x 19 tyres, save them for me and my Changs and my M63 solo Ural.

Norm nailed it years ago re 19inch wheels!....Use a Heidenau K37 as the pusher and all the others Duro HF 308......18inch rims are a different kettle of fish because you canβt get a knobbly pusher (like the Heidenau K37) in 6ply with the correct load rating. The Duro HF 308 6ply for 18inch wheels is the closest you will get and can be fitted all round and work great.π Lee! you got those Duroβs for me at a great price mateπ Recently changed K37 off pusher, worn out at 4000km, fitted new prior to delivery. Noted that these Heidenau K37 are not 6 ply, only 4 ply,my understanding was the needed to be 6 ply for sidecar application. In speaking to another local Ural owner, he was supplied new Duro 308s by Melbourne tyre shop anD they initially supplied 4 ply but happily got the correct 6 ply set in. Question? Do K37 come in 6 ply, are 4 ply good enough, would wear be any different? Cheers Pokey.

My original Russian tyres in 2008 were 2 ply. They lasted about 8000 on the pusher. Duro Hf308 6 ply go 10k. I have never had the 4 ply but I expect the walls would be a little softer and require more pressure to limit the flex and subsequent heat that causes extreme wear. Legal load rating may not be met with 4 ply........leave that to you to look up.
For me, Duro 308 6ply are the allround way to go........but I do have 4 k37βs in the shed. π€£π
