Get home fix!….no front brembo but the spare does the job. It’s taken 10 years to try it and all good. Certainly better than changing out a tyre and tube on the front wheel on the side of the road someplace. Cheers Wheels. 😎

The earlier bikes with disc front and drum brakes on the rear and side have a drum brake spare wheel. For emergency get out of trouble use, it is possible to fit the drum brake wheel to the front. The caliper needs to be moved and mounted out of the way and of course you will have NO front brake.

OK gotcha.
Will have to be checking the new things arrangements too. As far as I remember, the bigger rear axle meant rear won't go to front or chair. Assuming front and chair will interchange at least. Interesting times. Wonder if the sleeve sets are still being provided??

Sleeves are in OZ. Clare is waiting on fitting/use instructions before issuing.

On 19" non retro bikes, swappable standard small hub spare became available in 2015 and was speed rated to 80km/h and a sticker on the rim. The speed rating was later dropped (16 or 17 I think) Plenty of internet myths about why it was speed rated, but my guess is it was a hang over from the large hub no brake model or the rims were still falling apart.
Wheels has a Retro which also got the swappable spare in 2015, but by the look of the catalogue it was dumped and no spare is specified with the 2017 bikes.
Good luck with the new ones.

The speed rated spare was your typical USA warning, “do not use hair dryer in the bath”. 🤣. You can bet the sleeves will be similar.
Best use of a sleeve will be on the sidecar axle as the wheel does not rotate on the axle.
