In relation to Michael M Paull's posts from South America. They ceased very abruptly. Furthermore, I was unable to find any of the historic posts in relation that trip. If anyone else can find them can you please post your findings. I just need to satisfy my curiosity, that they may have been deleted. Who knows why. I did send a PM to him, but got no reply.

Ural really needs to address this requirement and provide an option for reducing the timing or richening the mixture a la ‘Offroad map’ in years past. Carrying litres of Octane booster into the outback really doesn’t cut it. It’s the least of their problems at the moment though! It is eerily quiet on social media, and this forum….anyone else notice? Never had a problem with premium fuel anywhere in OZ except for the “Opal” areas. Many places in the Outback and Hot areas do not keep 91 at all because it goes off so quickly. Yes the internet has gone a bit quiet probably due to the mixed feelings of the cruel war. As for our Forum, a bunch of us are too busy riding Tassie to write….😇😇

Yes, the dreaded Opal, only thing available out near the canning stock route and gt central road in WA. 95 is usually at most servos but not 98 except in bigger towns.

Good read here gents and as ours is a 22 and yesterday did a couple of pings (backed off the throttle quickly) I am keen to know Скиппи isn't going to grenade in some weird place.
Talked to Jaiman at Eurobrit but he is under the impression the Euro 5 is set and that is it?
Anyway we are headed to their shop so hopefully something will come to light
Cheers Andi

My 2022, as did others had a remap by Eurobrit called by Ural international..I believe mixture and timing may have been tinkered with. But getting an answer to what exactly was done drew buggerall response. For me, I watch cylinder head temps. like a hawk during summer. There is some stuff in the SS Forum that says the temp sensor will trigger an error code at 170 degrees C. Running fuel less than the recommended 98 octane, particularly in our peak summer may cause an issue with the hi comp engines. Usually, low speeds for extended periods will push temps up. I saw 53 on mine in a short period of 1st gear crawling @ 38 ambient. I know cos I had a scan gauge hooked up. But, having said all that. I havn't had a problem so far. Low grade fuel, high ambient temps in our Northern regions, continuous running without resting up, may cause an issue. Remember, loaded and 2 up presents a huge load for a little 41hp ancient flat twin to cope with. Stop, smell the roses and stay away from 110kph motorways.
