Trailer trials complete but Albury / Taree / Albury was an adventure I would rather not repeat. Journey north a little over 8 hrs, inspected trailer all good and arranged to collect 0500 Monday, left motel 0445 and noted the Triton had thrown DPF and check engine codes, checked oil etc and it drove normally across to vendors place. Out on the Pacific Hwy and vehicle was in limp mode, quickly evident that electronic throttle was only "opening" to maybe 30% lots of fun in the fog down to 40 kph on one particular hill. Got to Maitland Mitsubishi dealer at 0730 to be told by service receptionist that I would have to leave the vehicle for a week ! Bull$hit to that, frank and meaningful technical discussions with the "Service Manager" had it in the workshop for a forced DPF burn, he reckoned that may not work and I pointed out that I was not waiting a week to find that out ! It worked and 4 + hrs later I was back on the road $180.00 poorer for what is maybe 45 mins work. Invoice states that along with the burn they "carried out adjustment on the DPF temp sensor 3 wiring". I had expected to get screwed for making them fix their product and also telling them what was wrong with it. They were delighted that warrant expired 4K kms prior. damn sure Mitsubishi would not have paid them $180.00 for a DPF burn. I need to find an OBD2 reader which will access Mitsubishi's "proprietary" software to force a burn.

Received a PM asking for trailer details.
Is an 8 x 6 box trailer, single axle with hydraulic drum brakes and tailgates front and rear, new tyres and a new master cyl, new LED lights and wiring. Professionally built and quiet solid without being too heavy, GVM 1200 kg. Has flush / flip up tie down points in each corner of bed, nice tight wheel bearings with bearing buddies. Tows like a dream, apart from using about 1L / 100 km more fuel. Has been re-painted externally on sides and 'guards but no rust, it belonged to the sellers Dad who has early onset Alzheimers unfortunately. $2300.00 with 6 mths reg.
