Looks great , thinking about getting one. Can you let me know where you got it and how much ? Hello Keith. Attached are some photos including my invoice which details the extra options I asked for. eg the original ATM was 2000kg,(I think) but by adding brakes to all four wheels not just the front 2, adding 15" rims the ATM comes to 3200Kg. Base Price was $5400 which includes a 900mm caged walls all round. I had the rear tail gate replaced with a ramp 1490mm high. Its load rating was insufficient, so I asked them to add a third hinge in the middle. This lifted the ramp rating to 750kg. The front tailgate is a drop down as well. The cage at the front has 2 hinged doors. But requires the spare wheel to be removed to get them fully open. I did buy a canvas cover as well as a frame to mount that. However, the Ural windscreen sits too high to use it. I may get it modified so it provides wrap around protection only. OR you can save $600 and not buy it. It is listed on the invoice as a "169 Cover". The trailer comes fully Galvanised for the price. Mine came from Melbourne, but I understand they have an outlet in Sydney as well. I suggest you google their website for current prices and options. Make no mistake, this is a Chinese built trailer. If you're OK with that it represents very good value. Hope this helps. PS. The Winch, channels and attachment hardware are my work. PPS The only fault if you call it that is the floor is buckled and makes a loud noise when loading. This could have happened during galvanising or the weld operator was in too much rush. The supporting frame is fine. Welds to me seem very good. The "A" frame is hinged I believe to get it in the Gal bath and inside a container. They open it up then weld it to the box. Nearly forgot. It comes with a 2 year warranty. Oh yes, Because I ordered a ramp, you also get the rear standard tailgate and the cage gates too in case you ever want to revert to the original configuration.

Thanks for the info. I have a few trailer places nearby I will pay them a visit. How wide do you need the internal tray to be ? I think the Ural is 1700 wide ? So 1800 would be a bit tight ?

The wheels will sit on a 1300 flat tray. If the trailer has sides higher than 200mm then you need 1700. So, anything with low sides/ mudguards that is 1300+ will fit a Ural.
My trailer was 51 inches between the guards. Guards were 6 inches high.

My bed is 6' wide (1829mm) The sides are 12" High (300mm) My valve cover is 5"(125mm) inboard of the side. Opposite that, the Sidecar wheel bearing cap clears by 3.5" (90mm) Because I have the cage, my handle bar end on the right side only clears by 1" (25mm) If you do away with the cage it not a worry. But for me I value the cage as a security measure. I can lock both front and rear access. This keeps not just the bike, but the winch, battery and anything else much more secure than an open box. The cage is removable if I want too. Some on here can get away with an 8' x 5' wide and is considered the minimum, but that may just be a flatbed with very low sides. I went 6x10 for the extra wriggle room. Depends a lot on what other purpose you may have for the trailer as to type and size. Cheers Harry

Keith, if you can get hold of an 8x6 tilt trailer it fits the bill perfectly. A couple of us have 8x6’s. It doesn’t matter how high the sides are your Ural fits like the trailer was made for it, and because it tilts you don’t need ramps. Fit a winch, 4 hold downs in each corner, a front and rear wheel guide if you want, drop the rear tailgate, tilt the trailer and up she goes…with practice! Cheers Wheels😎

Ok cool , is a hand winch OK ? Hand winch is fine. Best to get the one that is 2 way. That is it pulls as well as lets out, and has dyneema rope or similar on it rather than a webbing strap or cable. Check out Atlantic brake winches on google, they are pretty good. I’ve had a couple of them over the years.
