Hi I have read so many conflicting things posted about how much oil should be in the final drive. (1 wheel drive) The Ural info states it to be 110 Mil but other posts suggest it should be more. Up to 200Mil. Any advice gratefully accepted. Cheers

130ml or top mark on the stick without screwing it in.

...The Ural info states it to be 110 Mil For my 2015 I use 110ml as per the book, no issues with the final drive except a cracked faceplate, but that has nothing to do with oil. Interesting thing is even with the cracked face plate leaking it still did 1,700kms and it only needed tiny amounts to top it up about 10ml. These days I refill with 110ml and forget about it, checking only at specified intervals and it is always good. I check with the stick screwed in because I thought one of Ural Dave's videos said Engine out and FD in for oil checks? Either way, excess oil doesn't seem critical and will vent so maybe follow Lee's advice and do 130?

Strange!…the manual I got with the Retro says 105 mls for the final drive, the other comprehensive workshop manual I have says 110 mls. I’ve always done 105 mls occasionally adding a sniff more, but certainly not more than 5 mls. Still have the same F/D at 54,600 kms although had to replace a cracked cover way back. Something to consider is foaming!….it can be a problem if there is too much oil in your F/D. How much additional oil over the Ural specs it takes to cause foaming is up for grabs! Cheers Wheels😎

I think there is a reason I just dip for measure……. Just checked the manual and I was wrong. Manual says 135 not 130…. 🤣🤣 110 is probably right if dipstick is screwed in. Never tried that and would rather have more oil than less, as long as it does not create a leak.

Hi I don’t want to step on any bodies toes, but mine is a 2020 Ranger ( 1 wd ) and my manual says 90 ml, and 115 ml for a 2wd. (Possibly the euro/us version) I put 90 ml in mine. It seems correct on the dipstick. Am I missing something? laru2015 said his was a 1 wd.
Cheers Mick

...laru2015 said his was a 1 wd. Theirs is a 2015cT and the manual for that year says 110ml. Highly possible that there was a volume change at some stage - just like the pre 14's don't have a larger splash guard and are more prone to throwing oil out the breather.
