What a fantastic week with our Ural friends. We had five (5) states represented as well as our adopted little island.......NewZealand and an interloper from China. A dozen SideCars and 20 people in all. Thanks to all who provided these pics. Sorry they are not in order. Click on pics to enlarge...... NZ, Tas and Vic campers Tour Director and leader Gary. The "after Party" Happy hour each evening. Bob carrying his fuel. Some people will pick up anyone. A slight delay on Wednesday's ride. The gang at our morning 9:00 gathering. The falls out of Marysville. The only bad words of the week........directed at a drunk Russian welder. "If Edwards can't fix it, we are screwed". But he can weld. Morning tea on the Mount.......trying desperately NOT to notice Melbourne in the distance. Beffy's mechanic refitting what fell off. Pokey's house at the best caravan park in Australia. Gary and Hahn's house full of Ural. Nothing dry in Victoria even in the beginning of Autumn. The ice-cream gang. The palace, or as some would say "the camp kitchen". The facilities really have to be seen to be believed at the Healesville Big Four. Gold mining water redirection tunnel. Bikes and gear left in carpark while sightseeing. I returned first, just in time to see a ute hurriedly stop and back up. As soon as he saw me appear from the scrub he left in a cloud of dust......Hmmm Our Chinese (friend)........ Redwood Forest Lunch by the river at Warburton.

Lee, you got to this before me - great set of photos so I am not going to post any more - would have been the same photos anyway!
Well it is over but certainly still fresh in our memories. Kept in touch pre, during and post VARSTy 24 via Whats App – over 400 postings and still counting! Five days of beautiful riding with great friends in the forests and surrounds around Healesville – who knew there were so many forest trails and scenic views, then a great final get together and sharing of 100s of photos. Apart from Lee's trauma with .... Russian welding on his machine, no major problems other than a flat tyre and some final drive / braking annoyances; just great time sharing friendship, Ural and a few local stories and beautiful surroundings. Thanks all to our mentor Lee, to our many bikes and their riders / passengers and the planning for this – it certainly doesn’t happen by itself! Participants were from all over – Vics, NSWs, QLDs, SAs, TASs and a couple from NZ – quite a varied gathering.
Now for the next trip – New Zealand was touted – let’s see what happens. A few happy snaps - see above for the great collection from Lee.

OK. Here we go. As much as Gary and Lee can't stop posting great Photos. I thought I should have a crack. Lee can move it if he wants. This lot fell out of my net for Day 1. It would be remiss of me not to share. This is shot entirely on an "Insta 360 X3". Enjoy. Not shown anywhere else yet.

Jake Hi mate. We have been there a few times. Stayed at Malcolm Dam once or twice. Visit Gwalia if you havn't already. Did the Great Central from Leanora/Laverton end. The CSR starts/finishes at Wiluna north of Leanora. Fabulous country out that way. R U going up the Great central??
