Well, I was home for a week after the LAP, now I'm on the road again. Met up with Chris Davey in Albury this afternoon and we headed up the Hume to Gundagai. Currently in bed listening to the rain on the tent. Hope tomorrow is dry.... We are going to Oconnell for the sidecar rally. It is about 20km South East of Bathurst. The plan is to be there sometime Friday, so we have plenty of time to explore along the way.
spending the night in a little campground by the river.
Sorry, pics won't load

The route we travelled. Left Gundagai heading for Tumut via Brungle. We were soon in awe of the scenery having entered a gorgeous green valley with this wonderful road winding its way along with a creek. There are two roads to Tumit from Gundagai and this is the least travelled route. We came upon a herd of cattle wandering very slowly along the road. The farmer was there on his horse and one car was sitting in the road with the driver seemingly waiting patiently for the cattle to move. I just rode straight into the middle of the herd.......slowly, but still much to the displeasure of the farmer. Chris followed, as did the car. The cattle scattered, and the farmer........well, stuff the farmer, we had roads to travel. We fuelled in Tumut where Chris calculated consumption at 10 km per litre. He was not so happy when mine came out at 15.2. He is carrying a little more weight and wind drag than me, but not that much........What did you do to his air filter Norm ? On from Tumut to Wee Jasper where we detoured to look at some caves but the gate was locked. The sign said open at 12:00 and since it was nearly noon we had lunch and waited. At 12:30 we decided no one was coming so we made our way back through Wee Jasper and on to Yass. All great Ural B or C grade roads, some sealed some gravel.
