SO hello from over the ditch.I am a new member to this site ,yet have already gained some valuable information on my bike trolling thru the technical sections -currently working thru the final drive issues .I will give an up date of where i am at and view of my current issue with my final drive-which is not so much of an issue yet -cause i am yet to even ride my machine .i have a large number of rideable bikes ranging from clip-on ,cyclemotors, scooters motocross, adventurer thru to road bikes. i imported a 2014 crashed[NWS written off T? ] Pretty much had to just go by a series of photos which didn't look to bad.I goggled Ural-and it rates in the top 5 WORSE bikes to own-i was hooked-lol.So over the year plus i have been propping up your economy and sending dollops of kiwi money to Clare and Matt as the nest issues arise in its rebuild.have repaired or replaced many items from ECU[water damage] valves, rocker boxes,.head bolts etc-straighten the frame by 25mm,hours of panel beating on the sidechair and most bike panels, including fuel tank.Worked my way through the split rims[Shout out to Clare,Matt-replaced 2 for freight cost only] respoked all the wheels to correct torque and only have one to now finish. Its been repainted and will place final?? order for last few bit/bobs in next couple of weeks-if my final drive mods all work out with not needing replacement parts. I have no issue with swinging a spanner and do near all of my mechanical work myself which reading between the lines of reviews on these bikes seems to be part of their issue-regular maintenance and didn't thrash the bejesus out off them equals big miles-big smiles So not much chance of meeting you guys your side on this machine but there is a slow growth of them popping up ,with i believe a new dealer? opening up in Auckland. While i tried to support local ,it would be a very hard road for the current[old] dealer to stock/supply parts in a timely manor which in the beginning was very frustrating-so have been dealing with Matt/Clare-whom have been VERY HELPFUL. Will attach a few up date photos as i work how that all works on this site Regards Kelven
