Interesting book gives an overview of motorcycling in the the old Soviet Union. Some of the lightweights of the 50s & 60s appear to be on a par with the British offerings of the time. The Russians even had a brief go at Moto GP but retreated to their own country where speedway, motocross & off-road events, ice racing & motoball (a kind of motorcycle soccer) were all popular. A bit of an eye opener to the variety of machines produced.
