G'day all, Thanks for accepting me into the hallowed halls of ozzy Ural. Bit of background; ex RAN (aircraft maintenance engineering) and defence industry - now retired. Have a small stable of solo bikes and have had my 2016 ranger since new. Done a few trips to Cairns and back to Wollongong, via the coast and up the middle (Emerald, Roma way) explored the Gulf country and down the middle to Adelaide and back. My trusty pilot is called Jack, coz he's a Jack Russell, the little fella absolutely loves the chair and I swear he can read a map. Currently preparing for another trip to Cairns via Bourke, Barcaldine and Mt Garnet and am hoping to set off (COVID borders permitting) early August. Happy to be aboard, Chris

Good to see the 2016 is holding up - have you had any major issues?

Yes, my advice to anyone with a universal spare is to spend some time, in a suitable environment, removing all the screws on all the wheels and hubs and replacing them with full depth hex heads. Much more betterer than doing it on the side of the road in bad weather and finding you have stripped a thread or can't get one out. Also a good pair of cir-clip pliers is a must for the tool kit.
Anyway, great to hear the 16 is running well.

Sound advice, have stripped one or two of those little suckers before getting them all replaced with better quality hex heads. Yep the circlip pliers are handy for releasing the bearings which no one tells you about!!
