Thank you for accepting me into the Ural Forum.
I live on Jervis Bay and now own a black 2010 Ural 750 had only 510kms on it but now 723km in space of 2 weeks, I had one of these when I lived in Russia for a while and loved its simple robust design (or as Sergi use to say " it is like a mountain it just is what it is". I am just now replacing perished parts from lack of use and just finished cleaning out its Carby's but now how the fun task of balancing the carby's. I have noticed these newer Urals seem to have weaker parts like the PTO drive assembly (the drive shaft is now welded to the fork) and the Flexible U-joint coupling more crumbly. Has anyone else had this issue?
Well I looks forward to riding with other Ural owners and helping when able.
(I will add pictures soon when I work out how to do it)

Hi and welcome Paul. The rubber coupling is good for 30000km usually. There has been a continual and vast improvement over the past 10-15 years. I have done well over 100000km in that time with very little trouble but yes, they are what they are. Ural HQ are running a ride in October. Good chance to meet a few of the inmates. Welcome Paul, just recently moved out of the Shoalhaven to Wollongong, and am lucky enough to be on the road in FNQ. Might see you around the Illawarra some day. Cheers Chris

Cheers Chris Hi mate, yes that would be great. I ride all around the place on the Ural and it does draw a sizeable gathering. Mine is black and thanks to the previous post I will be uploading pictures very soon

As promised here is my bike, I just clocked up 812kms on it and super thanks to Bob for gathering a few Urals to go for a ride it was fun watching peoples reactions when we pulled up.
My wife wants me sell it as she does not like riding in sidecar (jealous people telling her it is dangerous) so I put it up on gumtree and will be looking for a solo model.

If wife is not going to ride pillion with you on a ‘solo’, may as well keep the Ural and leave wife at home. They say Ural’s are chick magnets you know....🤣🤣

They say Ural’s are chick magnets you know....🤣🤣 Very tempting, she does not like the attention my sidecar gets when I go to places (it is a chick magnet) I think she is jealous . Her friends are jealous because they are too fat to fit in it hence why they told her the side car is "dangerous".
