Just another damp day in the bush, little slippery on the hills, would have been on my back side if I rode the beemer, Ural just took it in its stride.

Cool I have questions , you have peaked my interest Why is your Jerry Can red ? Did it come red , is it the original ? You have a rear bumper ? What are you doing with the metal detector ?

G’day Keith,
Gerry can is standard and I painted it red. Little bar on rear we added when we bought the bike, not that keen on it, would have preferred the straight bumper, maybe later for that. Detector, my hobby, love fossicking for old relics from mine sites, have not found gold yet. Just out in the bush where we live are old mine sites, in fact all the way to upper Dargo and beyond. Spend a lot of ti e exploring.

Lot of things, 1862 penny, ink pots, musket balls, picks and old rabbit trap. The highlight though we found many years ago was an Edison Spark plug. One of the most interesting though is a old mini Card machine Circa 1880,, to describe it was cast iron that was able to be carried in a pack saddle, set up in a shanty you put a penny in push the lever and cards spin, winner would get a cigar or rum. These were I guess the earliest of poker . machine. The best part of fossicking for us is researching the history and location. I go searching for old bridle trails and diggings. Lot of bush bashing. Winter is good, less snakes.
