My two cents worth, drive it several times both ways then decide. Personally for me it's a NO. Mainly because I would not want to put others in a situation trying to help if it went wrong. Have helped with several 4wd and bike recoveries up there. Great place for 4wd or very capable riders, both of which my Ural or me do not qualify. Cheers Pokey.

My ex Army training always used to put a lot of emphasis on always ensuring you can implement a tactical withdrawal when things go wrong, which I occasionally forget! I once said to my SQNLDR that 'I thought it was a good idea at the time'. He wasn't amused...

Lots of great memories camping and 4WDing with my Dad around Sheepyards, Moroka, The Pinnicles and Wonnongatta in the 80s. I recall the 4WD climb up Billy Goats in the old G60 Patrol. It was steep and knarly then. I wonder how eroded it is these days. I remember riding passenger on the back of Dads trail bike during a day ride with his mates from Sheepyards to Wonnongatta and back and a lot of the guys having trouble getting up Billy Goats coming back to Sheepyards. Good times and great memories. The day walk into Moroka Gorge and enjoying the river and falls in the Summer. :-)
Looking forward to revisiting the area one day.
