Hi all. I'm looking forward to joining the Ural club . Picking up a 2011 ranger tomorrow . It's been set up for longer rides with big screens , extra fuel gerry cans ect. That's not what I want it for so the first job is weight reduction for local use. I had a sidecar about 20 years ago but will have to spend some time relearning the sidecar techniques. I'm sure I will have questions as the learning process proceeds. I've had a look through the forum and pleased to see lots of good information here.................Ian

Welcome Ian. Only new myself. Waiting on a gearup 2wd. International Covid delay, Eoro5 compliance delaying delivery from this month to November. From my experience, there is a mine of info here. For you there is a close knit ural group in Qld. Look for "Uralbug" on YouTube. Cheers Harry.

Welcome Ian. Check out the Brisbane Ural Owners on FB. Nice people there and they hold monthly rides in your area. 🤣👍

Welcome, Agree with Lee, get in touch with Cam on the Brisbane FB group. I think Bill and Dee are organising monthly rides these days.

Thanks' for the welcomes. Got it home this arvo and stripped off most of the accessories that I don't need ATM. Left 3 full 10L jerry's on the chair for ballast and put the dog (rottie) in for a bit of practise in the yard. Lefty's weren't as bad as I was expecting. Checked all three oil levels, engine was about 1/2 a litre low, others ok. Was getting a pfft miss intermittently, new spark plugs sorted that out. Felt game enough to go out on the road so I went to the servo to check tyre pressures . Front and side were low rear not to bad. Rides better with the right pressure. Staying to the 60kph roads until I'm more confident. All good so far. More practice tomorrow...................Ian
