G’day Everyone,
Thought I would share with you our up and coming plans.
As some of you know I had some life changing issues with my neck and this led to me having to give up my work and retire early and also gave up my two wheels mostly riding my BmW’s for past 47 years. The Ural has been a fantastic alternative to my riding and one I wish now had done years ago.
Riding our Ural has given me immense pleasure and captured some memories I will treasure. so for the time being the bikes are being sold. in fact we are also selling our house and packing up with the intention of travelling hopefully for the next 5 years and beyond. This has been a big decision but one we have been discussing for quite some time.
So their you have it, cat is out of the bag. Exciting times although trying to sort everything and sell up will have some added pressures. Going to take some time to get sorted but hopefully by November we can start our new chapter in our lives. I intend to stay with this forum and the wonderful people here. When we do eventually settle down again I would hope to have another Ural. My Ural is now up for sale on here and will eventually be placed on Bikesales in the coming weeks.
Seems I am rambling a bit, just want to add that I have met some wonderful people through this forum, and created some life long friendships. I am forever grateful for all the help and advice given to me when learning my Ural Thanks
Jake.

Sorry to lose you two temporarily as fellow Ural nutcases but very happy for you to have the courage to make some brave but admiringly life-conscious decisions. Meanwhile, we’ll cherish some fond memories of a jolly good time in Tassie together earlier this year. You know you’ll always be welcome to stay if your travels bring you to the Gong. All the best A1 & A2

All the very best Tvan, I hope your new adventures take you far and wide. I see it didn't take long to sell the Ranger. Well done.

All the very best Tvan, I hope your new adventures take you far and wide. I see it didn't take long to sell the Ranger. Well done. About 2 hours........must be a record for an unsighted Ural I think. I recently sent a text to a mate that I might sell one of my outfits and he rang straight back.......he just said "I'll take it" and hung up. 😳 He was at my door 20 minutes later. deal done. 👏

G’day Guys, thank for the wishes, been a long term thought process to do this and now we finally made that decision to have a long term adventure. Been nearly at meltdown point working out what will go into storage and what we will sell. The hardest thing was to sell my Ural, its an amazing bike and the pleasure it gave us. We did think about a motor home and trailering the Ural but it was not going to work for us. A1 A2 will be nice to do a catchup and I am sure we will be up your way at some point. I cherish all our friendships that we have made especially since having the Ural. Feel sorry for anyone with a Ural that we meet up, standby for extended UDF. We are around for a while yet, Lee and Pokey we will catchup.
Jake
