Hello All
I have returned to sidecar riding for the first time in 30 years. My first being a 1980?
GS1000 Suzuki with a HRD side car.
I know own a 2008 Ural. My problem is that when previous owner fitted a 2 into 1 exhaust a problem may have started leading to chasing a misfire through the engine. He apparently put new jets in the carburettors but to no great help. This is when I bought it. It had the bad miss when I bought it and I thought it would be a simple fix. The 2 to 1 exhaust had no muffler so I thought it needed back pressure so I had an exhaust man suggest a muffler from a HR Holden. This helped with the noise and a bit with the misfire. He know believes I need to change the diaphragms. I am ok with that and a good next step. PROBLEM $220+gst each.
I was told these are a Kawasaki carburettors?
Is this true? And if so is it better and cheaper to go to Kawasaki first for the diaphragms?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated
