Hello All I have returned to sidecar riding for the first time in 30 years. My first being a 1980? GS1000 Suzuki with a HRD side car. I know own a 2008 Ural. My problem is that when previous owner fitted a 2 into 1 exhaust a problem may have started leading to chasing a misfire through the engine. He apparently put new jets in the carburettors but to no great help. This is when I bought it. It had the bad miss when I bought it and I thought it would be a simple fix. The 2 to 1 exhaust had no muffler so I thought it needed back pressure so I had an exhaust man suggest a muffler from a HR Holden. This helped with the noise and a bit with the misfire. He know believes I need to change the diaphragms. I am ok with that and a good next step. PROBLEM $220+gst each. I was told these are a Kawasaki carburettors? Is this true? And if so is it better and cheaper to go to Kawasaki first for the diaphragms? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated regards Chinaplate ("its threes for me!")
