Thanks Keith and Sally. We did Ilford Sofala on the way home from Uralla last week…..Great area with history. Looks like the Hill End Lodge could be a nice base for a 2 or 3 day group ride in the area.

Another great vid Keith. Had to smile re Sally's concern at being pursued by a cow, one of the few things slower than a Ural is a cow.

Lee Yeah Hill End Lodge would be really good for a group , lots of comfy rooms and a nice setup , large restaurant , breaky included etc , great place.

Hehe , yeah it is awesome having Sally along , you see all the things we take for granted out there , Cows , Sheep , Lambs , Goats , Roos , angry geese etc. It's like seeing them all for the first time again ,.

Nice video Keith. I doubt I would have attempted that river either. I came across a similar flow near Ural of OZ last Sunday, on your own it's a definite no no. Tarana pub is one of my favourites, but it's better mid week. Keep them coming!

Haha, it actually doesn't have to be deep either..... a bit of green slime will do the trick to put you on your side just as well. This was in March, near Cowra. I'd gone to look at a 4WD for a friend. Went the back way to Woodstock in the morning after staying in Cowra overnight. Walked into the water about 1/2 way and it wasn't slippery at all, so got back on the bike and went in slowly, as usual and just AFTER 1/2 way the concrete causeway was covered in green slime, even though the water was flowing and it was less than 2 inches deep. Ended up having to call the bloke with the 4WD to come help me pick it up, as there was no purchase on the slimy bottom. Bent bars, busted indicator and a crick in my back.... all in the past now with the Ural....
