Hi all , I’m new to (outfits ) sidecars , I’ve ridden solos most of my life, I’m after a new sidecar car preferably a 2023 model any advice to what model would help , I know it’s a very broad question , so just a bit of information , I live on the mid north coast and have a lot of state forests close , mainly gravel or dirt , I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for my enduro bike , cheers Marty

Where are you? The Ural Australia annual ride was run a few weeks back, out of Port Macquarie. 2nd hand 2023 may be tricky. Supply has a veey long lead time. You should go talk to Clare or Mat at Ural HQ in Uralla, NSW.

Last I heard Ural Australia, had a 2023 still available, and they've got the 2020 Orange demo for sale too. www.imz-ural.com.au/special-offersTraining is a great way to go. If you call Jon Taylor, who lives near Uralla, you should be able to book in to his short training course. It's well worth it. Urals of OZ. uralofoz.com.au Or, if you're just after a ride to see what it's like you could talk to the guys at Epic Adventures in Port. As a relative novice, having only 17k km on my 2022, I can say that the only thing about having lots of solo experience will help with is the controls and the riding position. The actual riding experience is completely unrelated, and you must unlearn everything you know about riding a solo. When I got mine, I left it as it was delivered, until I worked out what accessories I wanted. So far, it's just been heated grips, windscreens for sidecar and bike and a set of Ikon shocks. The shocks I believe are really nice to have item, but not entirely necessary. Good luck with the hunt!
