Hey Rick, You could do what I did. Do the Ural training at Ural of OZ. Get expert training from Jon Taylor and see if you like it. I did, and ordered my 2022 a few days after I did the training. There are a couple of good early ones around. A 2104 in QLD for $16k with really low kms and some good extras. Ping me if you want the details. Lee is correct, if you're really not sure, an earlier one will get your money back, and they're usually pretty good if well looked after. I have no regrets buying new, I got one of the last Russian assemblies built Dec 21 as a 22 model Gear Up 2WD. Love it. I second the training with Jon Taylor, even though I had a sidecar in the 70's the Ural is a different animal. I thought I would be ok but I found the training on the last quite steep hill with the circles challenging. A old riding friend who I rode with 15 years ago thought that he too would like a Ural, he had a number of offs over the years back then, a couple quite serious. He took delivery of a new 2023 in August, had it delivered to his home in Tambourine Mountain as he was not confident to ride the 40+k. Despite trying a number of times around his steep twisty neighbourhood, he just wasn't happy with it, he had the ballast weight in the chair etc. So it's now up for sale, when I collected it a few weeks ago it had 98k on it, it now has 160k after I rode it to Brisbane to a mutual mate to sell. www.bikesales.com.au/bikes/details/2023-ural-gear-up/SSE-AD-16308084/?Cr=8Depending on where you live ride before you buy!

Jeez Phil, Doesn't sound like he gave it much of a chance. I was very uncertain about mine for the first 100km. Which was all on one go from Moss Vale to Sydney in peak hour. Then I thought, if I can do that, it may grow on me. Which it really has after 17k km in 18 months.
