I was on the mower cutting my way through the jungle yesterday when a lady approached me and said " so who are you?" seems I have been away a bit lately and the wife didn't recognise me......... On that note, I will be away with the Monarchs club 14/15/16 November for the Domino Rally. See below: Domino Rally - 2nd of the new era. This is one for the bikes from behind the Iron Curtain and from any of the other weird and wonderful manufacturers of days gone by, or even present day. So dust off the pride and joy and don't be embarrassed to bring it out and let others feast their eyes on your mechanical marvel and see the look of envy and awe on the faces of attendees. All commers are welcome and embraced. (Maybe not embraced) To be held at the camping area of Angusvale. It is off the main Dargo Rd, approx 13kms or so from Beverlys Track heading towards Dargo. Signs will be posted. Fresh water on site and limited firewood supplied. Drop toilets on site as well. It is a National Park, so no animals please. The usual no expense spared awards and the odd special one thrown in. $20 will see you a badge and all the great company you can cope with.

It's Sunday .. wet wet wet .. glad I didn't go! Did Bombala Bike Show instead and bumped into a couple of reprobates I knew. One with a Triumph 2.3L outfit and one with dreadlocks and (another) dead hall sensor as he rode in the gate.

One with a Triumph 2.3L outfit and one with dreadlocks and (another) dead hall sensor as he rode in the gate. This must be some type of record. Maybe the timing cover squashed the sensor's wires and caused a short.

Domino Rally done and dusted. Great weekend and top camping spot. Camping area down below. Mr. Popcorn helped me fly the flag and Tone turned up as well, so we had three Ural outfits and Peter travelled down with me on his solo.
Friday was was a great day on the bike. We took the long way to the rally of course, and dropped in to a friend of Peters for coffee and home baked fruit bread. We had planned to stop at Heyfield for lunch but now didn't need it. This guy has hundreds of model plane engines........fantastic stuff. on the way to Heyfield I turned off the sealed road onto a dirt road called 9 mile road. The other guys, who travel a we bit fast for the Ural, wondered what I was doing, and they were even more surprised when they arrived at Heyfield to find I was there and had already filled with fuel....... Mr. Popcorn ( Dave ) turned up Saturday morning with a tub load of bagged popcorn. He generously donated them for everyone. Most people were hesitant to try the popcorn, but nearl all of them could not stop eating once they had the taste. Rain Saturday night and Sunday morning just made the ride out on the dirt ........now mud......more fun on the Urals. A wet ride home, but went a longer way still to stay off the highways and do more twisties. Top weekend again. lee
