Managed to winch the Ural up on the trailer I'm building to test for size & balance. Trailer is 7x5, Ural sits nicely with just the brake peddle extending 6mm past the 5' of the tray. Axle is centre of the tray and was quite front heavy when empty but with Ural on without bicycle and ramps it's almost neutral. Bicycle, ramps & toolbox makes it perfect. The timber was just to test, tomorrow walkway mesh becomes the base of the entire tray. Attachments:

Looking good there Graham.
I wish that I had the skill to make things like that. - sadly I have to spend my 'hard-earned' as I did for my trailer!
Cheers

All that's left to do is to etch the steel, paint it black, screw the lights + reflectors on & register it. Should be complete by Monday night if it doesn't rain.

Good job on the trailer. I costed doing it myself and found it cheaper to purchase and quicker. My Ural has travelled about 15000 km on the trailer. Thinking about the KI trip and will need somewhere to park it if I can make it. Will be over to SA for The Targa late August and may stay on if i can make it happen.

Lee We've got a big yard and plenty of room for a trailer & car but our overnight accommodation is full unless you want to put a tent up on the lawn.

Trailer on the road with Ural on board anda 18' Canadian canoe which had to be cut in halves to fit the trailer. Bicycles aren't on this time, the mount on a rack on the drawbar.

Nice looking rig! Actually, that canoe looks very much like a "stripper" I built in 1988. Mine ended up somewhere in Tassie, last I heard. BTW, if you head North at any time for Tamworth's January festival, let me know- we could get a ride together.
