Went out with SA BMW club today. First "high speed" run. Tweety has just clocked 1000 km, and it is like a switch has been turned on. Sitting on 100 on the flat bits, dropping off on hills to 80. Mostly keeping up in the hills. Looking forward to being fully run in.
A few bumps bottomed out the rear suspension, so decided to lift the springs a notch. Wow what a difference! Left handers were ok, 5-10 km above advisory sign, now can add another 5-10! This with only 10L of fuel on chair, no other added weight. Just need a little more lean out to get her tracking nicely again.
Run was from Pooraka through One Tree Hill, Kersbrook, Williamstown, Angaston, Truro and towards Eudunda. Turned onto 20 km of dirt to check out club's control point for 24 hr trial next weekend. A very nice run, on a good variety of roads.

It hood to hear the bike's running so well. You'll be even happier when the other 5 hp is liberated at around 4,000km!!
