Having serviced the Ural 1,500km after the rebuild it was time to take a 4 day shakedown run. The cockpit below. GPS now using a USB port in the sidecar for power. Oxford Heated Grips fitted with an isolator switch on the instrument panel. The trip included 42km of dirt through the Stirling Ranges. Had originally intended to stay on the bitumen in case of problems but the bike went so well that I soon changed to some backroads. Averaged just 361.5km per day which was a very relaxed trip. Bike ran sweet. Am using Heidenau K28s and will report on how they pan out. Now just hanging out for the OCR in August.
