A late start Saturday morning then headed for Boonah and the start of Gods country. Boonah and the back roads through Mt Alford out to almost Maroon dam ,back roads then up to Queen Mary Falls ,on to check out a local farm road that didn't go where Google said 😃 Next Mt Lindesay RD with its sections of corrugated dirt & into Bald Rock NP for a overnight camp. Whatever gave the NP people the idea to use white gravel on campsites , covered in small stones and tent peg resistant it would be difficult to find a more unsuitable material . Other than the gravel it's a great camp spot with well spaced sites, firewood supplied ,long drop dunnys and UDF with a a Chinese biker 😃
Sundays ride was into Boonoo Boonoo NP, Tenterfield ,with bikes parked everywhere, then down the Bruxner Hwy being over taken by heaps of bikes all much faster than the Ural .Drake,Tabulam,Bonalbo and a stop to check its great little van park for future use, on to Urbanville,Old Koreelah ,White Swamp ,Mt Alford , Boonah and home.
500km of ripper sunshine and cool air. AJ behaved itself ,not a worry or problem but some shocks that actually worked would be much appreciated by my bad back and arthritis.17kpl in look around and smell the flowers mode was nice. A great ride with a mixture of gravel and blacktop in my favorite part of Oz 😃 Cheers, Macca

Sounds like a lovely little Ural ride. 😀 .......Half your luck. I have been laid up for a week with back pain and probably at least another before back on the bike. I have just ordered a pair of shocks for another bike......if they work out ok I will get a set for the Ural as well. It will be a while though, as the other bike is a “build”.

A lot more k's than I managed, but I did see and wave to another Ural - I was coming down Mt Glorious into Samford about 8am on Sunday - they were heading up. I had just been up the Goat track because it looked interesting
