That was a good ride Lee and Co, wish I could have been there too. Might still make it to Russian Rally and Jon's Ride.

Goodo Ross. We are at Gloucester on the way to the Russian. Chris had better be there.... little bit wet here at G tonight ☔️ so into a cabin. Cooking a roast chook and vegies and enjoying a🍷
Ross, I caught up with Rick on Saturday and rode his LX. He has fitted Ikon shock units with springs rated for his 100kg and a 30kg load in the chair. Much softer than standard and one would have expected a lot of wallowing BUT wallowing negligible and a much much nicer ride and easier on the wrists and arms on the rougher stuff.......well worth the effort ( $ ).

Excellent! That's just what I was hoping for. I good shock can completely transform a bike, something a lot of people don't appreciate.

Would really be interested how the shock replacement went, pros and cons, difficulty with fitting and so on. Reading the reports over at Soviet Steeds even changing the front shocks only made a huge difference.

Pros........... less jarring and nice comfy ride. Cons.......... $1750.00 Options........you could just fit springs but the whole package from Icon worked very very well.

Was the best money I ever spent on any of my bikes. $1750 isn't a lot of noney to spend to make a $14000 dollar bike so much easier an more enjoyable to ride.
