Not for me mate - I have a bike without wheels and I don't own a car anymore. Did want to chat to you about chair alignment and see if I could talk Chris into helping me straighten the forks at some stage. Maybe next time.

The forks are fine so straightening isn't the right term - When Chris rode my bike he thought that the front end didn't track straight in relation to the bars - when he described it to me I knew exactly what he was talking about but just figured it was a Ural thing. The idea would be to undo the hex bolts on the steering column bridge and top clamp and twist slightly to the right so that the bars, forks and front wheel direction aligned. Having said that it is a bit too much for me to do solo so I was going to see if he wanted to give me a hand.

Andy, that is pretty simple to do..... I am sure you could manage from what I have heard from you.

Obviously you have been talking to the wrong people - I am very capable of screwing this up completely without assistance Just found a way to get to Rosewood - but there is track work and it might take 3 hours.

Check your handle bar mounts before you go too far.....just sayin !lee 😜 Done - actually it had risers and KLR bars on it when I got it. Got Clare to send me a genuine Taiwanese set of bars up, ditched the risers and haven't looked back. Actually if anyone is looking for risers I have a cheap set Not in a hurry to fix it. I need to sit on Macca's bike and then on mine and decide if it really is an issue or just that Chris has one arm shorter than the other.

We missed you today Andy, however, Macca, Bob/Sue and Chris made it there in between the showers. More cracked alloy rims were observed, this time on 2010 stamped rims. Good camaraderie, coffee/tea and toasted sangers. Till next time (April 7th).

"More cracked alloy rims were observed, this time on 2010 stamped rims." - not good.
Funny thing was when I dropped the cracked rim off at Ash's he looked at it and said oh yeah... see what you mean and then pointed out that the cracks ran almost all the way around the wheel. When I first noticed them at my place I couldn't see it, but under the light in his shop it was really apparent - only hairline but definitely there. If I ever had to replace them I would go with Quality Japanese ones.
