Having been spoilt by modern bikes, I think I've about run out of handlebar space for instrumentation.
Additional gauges / farkles are: GPS - which confirms the original speedo is surprisingly accurate Voltmeter - Always like to know what the charging system is doing Air temp - came with the voltmeter Tacho - Best investment yet when you are new to the bike and finding out its sweet spot LED driving light switch - rewired via relay to come on with the High beam, they are pretty useless anyway Clock - Analogue to fit in with the old school charm Oxford heated grip switch - once you have heated grips you really miss them when you don't
And they say Urals are low tech - too much ?

I bought my Zumo660 a couple of weeks after my bike... that makes 11 years of being bashed around and being drowned without missing a beat.

The GPS is a Zumo 395LM not the bigger 595LM, I just couldn't bring myself to spend the $$$ on the bigger one. The Garmin models change but the $$$ stay the same for the top of the range ZUMOs. Its a great unit, it does everything I want and then a whole lot more - Bluetooth, motorcycle roads, etc. The Tacho comes from the USA, its actually for a Harley, but seems to work well and appears to be accurate and has a stable needle. Based upon the Revs in Gears table I have for my bike it is about right for idle (~880 cold ) and 4250rpm for 60Mph. It comes in a Black or White face www.jpcycles.com/product/5600076/j-p-cycles-mini-tachometerYou need to get the single fire adapter for it so it reads correctly for the Ural electronic ignition >> www.jpcycles.com/product/730-382/compu-fire-electronic-tach-adapter

880 cold might be fine, but it would want to ramp up to around 1050 within a minute or so when the O2 sensors start getting warm. That is the correct EFI idle speed for the ECU map - ignore the label in the fork tube, that's there to keep the Californians happy. Ok, I will skip on the Tacho Bit too expensive for me.
