Hi all, just wondering whether there is a Ural Riders Group as such in Sydney? I spotted one on Facebook for Brissy and wanted to see if one existed in Sydney and if not if there's interest in creating one?
I'd be happy to kick start it.
Cheers, Sean

Hi Sean,
in Sydney area is no group of rider in any kind at the moment! 2013 after I bought my Ural we made few attempts but did not have much response at all. At this time where around 12 Ural's in my area! Everybody sad we like to ride on our self not interested. Myself is still open for forming a riding group, in the meantime I am riding on my own and once a Year enjoy the sidecar rally and Ural HQ Rally.

Thanks Karl, it sounds like it may be a bit difficult to get a group together until there are more riders. I may just coordinate a group ride in the NY and see what interest I can muster up.
Cheers, Sean

Just a suggestion.....
Pick a coffee shop somewhere for a Sunday meet. Try to make it monthly and build from there. I am in a bike club with 150 members. We started monthly with just 2 or 3 riders. We now have 20 - 30. Yesterday we had 20 bikes, even on a rainy Melbourne day.

We just met up and decided to make it a monthly thing. Thanks to Wheels drumming up support, we once had 10 bikes there, no where near the league of Lee's 150 but maybe that is because we just go for coffee and a chat rather than do any actual riding Macca and I were the only ones there for a few months before someone new showed up... Now we have a small cadre of "regulars". Good luck, and if you do plan a to meet up post it here, I am often in Sydney and always up for a coffee.

Thanks everyone, I love the suggestion of the monthly meet up. I've already kinda' started doing this with a mixed group of friends with various bikes. There's two of us with Urals in that group of about 15 so this could be something I build on. I'll post the next ride in here. Cheers
