Perhaps carry 98 as your extra fuel and buy Opal but mix 50/50 with the 98. Or try the octane booster, of which I have no experience.
Also remember your range will drop considerably if the track is soft.

My experience with Nulon Pro-Strength Octane Booster ($28.95 for 500ml) and regular unleaded was positive, so maybe add 50% of the recommended amount of fuel booster to the mix. I need to experiment. I'm using an average of 12km/litre fuel consumption in my planning with chair load of ~70kg. Over 500 litres required, current $/Litre is $3.50 = nearly $2k for fuel - money well spent!

Ya beat me too it.. Not had to use the Nulon yet, but its in the boot if needed.
I believe many suggest a 5 RON increase is more like it. 165ml/20lt times whatever it costs to be added to the fuel bill?? Worth every penny too.
