Saw one for sale... 1990 model . Any thoughts if this is something to look at would be nice . I know a new one would be nice ( warranty!) but a good introduction?.... Barney

I don't know much about the older Russian bikes but they certainly have their admirers. RMOA and B-Cozz (http://b-cozz.com/ ) have lots of info.
I see the newer bikes as completely different to the pre 2005 product. If you want something to ride then I suggest you go with something newer, but if you just want something to play with an older bike will keep you busy. Papasmurf's Bondi, only 3 years old with a new motor for $10,000 has to be the best value newish Ural that has come on the market.

Going through some old paperwork yesterday. Found a brochure for the 650 Ural. Sidecar was an option!
