Talking 2020 model Ranger , just in case there is any differences. Questions Handle bars are 22mm ? Has anyone got bar risers on? The if so how much higher did you make the bars without having to stretch cables etc? Bark busters , I like Storm Bark busters , mainly for wind and cold protection Has anyone fitted bark busters ? What kind? With the stock bars , do they have a cross bar? If not has anyone fitted a cross bar ? I have a small bag that I need a crossbar to fit and some other bits that a cross bar would be good. I don’t want to replace the bars , just need a cross bar and I have seen some cheap adjustable ones on eBay. That’s it for now ,thanks for all the help , I owe everyone I meet a beer or coffee . I’ll have more questions later

My 2015 had 3" risers and a set of KLR bars with cross brace on it when I purchased it.Best modification I made was replacing the KLR bars with the original's from Ural and getting rid of the risers. Also got a pair of BBZ bark busters from Ural (just as cheap shipped as the local shop and it is always good to support the importer) Much happiness

What kind? I’ll have more questions later Keith Maybe too late for you but I have a 2022 GU. I bought Barkbuster BHG-046 and Storm plastics. The bars are 22mm dia with an inside diameter of 16mm. The fitting kit provides 17mm diameter split collets to secure the spline in the bar end. I'm sure you see the problem! I turned the collets down to 15.8mm diameter. Also I have a suspicion the plastics may collide with the sidecar screen when I fit it. Also, the right hand spine in the kit is marginally too short to clear the front brake master cylinder hydraulic banjo union sufficiently. It fits but the spine would be better if it were another 10~20mm longer. I'm not a fan of bar risers, I have rotated my bars upwards around 3~4" at the ends in the top triple clamp, makes handling the beast much better for me and this may solve the screen issue I foresee.

Most questions answered but a "perhaps" idea. The std Ural barkbusters which came fitted to my bike look to be great for protecting hands from impacts but marginal for cold weather wind shielding. I once read of a neat trick whereby a couple of 2L plastic milk jugs hacked up and fitted via zip ties make good weather protection, even easier to fit to std Ural barkbusters. Near zero weight and little space required if carried in the sidecar boot, priceless if needed.

If you're worried about bark being removed from your fingers/gloves, and want to keep your hands warm, have a think about the Oxford Muffs. I've had these on a 2005 Triumph Tiger.... They actually went around the stock plastic thingies, and whilst you need to know braille to figure out your switches, I rarely needed heavy gloves. They should also fit around a standard bark buster spine. Admittedly, they're not for everyone... www.oxfordproducts.com/motorcycle/product_type/accessories/handlebar_accessories/muffs/I may also be fitting their heated grips when my outfit arrives.... next week? Fingers crossed.

I just fitted BBZ Blizzard for winter..Original Barkbusters off and the Blizzards use the same innards and screws. 20 minutes. Come summer, I'll change back again. Reasonably priced from Ural. These were highly recommended by Jon Taylor. If that makes any difference.

Have to agree with you Andyh, leave mine on, combined with heated grips for where I live make the ride very cosy.
