Anyone in the Adelaide region have a gear puller that pulls the crankshaft into the front bearing ? I'd even bring the engine case and crankshaft to your place if I could borrow it for 5 minutes . It's worth a six pack .

Raceway - Ural Crankshaft Puller Tool (PN 10113) or you could try - ural.ca/ or build one yourself? I think brucek made his own puller, maybe drop him a PM and ask?

Correct spelling of MyUral = Hammer for the bearing……and NO, I would not use the rear housing to do the pushing……easy to make a steel plate pusher or a puller….just as easy to break the rear housing and costly.

Thanks Andyh , I also saw you reply this morning on SS , cant believe some folk are putting a 750 crankshaft in place using the MyUral method . Get in touch with Clare and Mat for Graeme's details. Figured it was you, but thought I would reply on both sites. I took mine to Graeme because I didn't have the workshop to make the puller and the cost to buy one was more than dropping the engine off. Never know, Graeme might make you one? While I remember, he also said that if you don't get the crank in the case first go you are best off going and doing something else for a while. Come back to it and it will be fine... Guessing years of experience taught him this or maybe the 40+ cranks in the tea chest over at the wool shed? There was a huge argument over on SS when Gobium said that the method at MyUral was wrong. Personally I think some people took offence because BillyG is a bit of a legend and Gobium (Van Lee) is a bit abrupt at times. I didn't realise all of Gobium's videos were now on the Lemoto Ural FB site, but good to find them, some great stuff there and normally the method used is the one he has been shown by Sergey at Ural HQ.
