Hi All, just done a total a little over 200k's on my just acquired Ural Ranger (ex popcorn Dave's bike, a fellow Monarch). The right foot peg is annoyingly short on that side due to the engine being off centre. My foot under the carby and leg up against the air tube. Found a fix on Soviet Steeds. Removed and cut the peg off the mount. Found a long 1/2" thick bolt and cut the head and thread off. Made a piece 2" long, chamfered the edges in about half the thickness and welded in between the mount and the peg. All back together and very happy with it. So much more comfortable to ride now. Hasn't broken off (yet). Don't know if this is of use to anyone or not. Maybe you've all done it already. Just my 2 bobs worth.
