2022 GU with bench seat. My first Ural, I have many, many questions, but one at a time!
Has anyone found a better method to improve this process please? Any suggestions that include Gaffer Tape or Zip Ties will be ignored!
Removing and replacing the large nut at the front of the seat and the two button socket head screws under the rear mudguard requires more flexibility from me than I possess on a good day.

I know your pain. Removed both rear screws and replaced with hex hd stainless. Socket, then long wobble extension powered by a nut runner. All from the sidecar side. I think an alternate short seat uses the same mounts but from the top. Front bolt is an open end only I think. Still a PITA unless you feel like removing the rear wheel.

For the front bolt, I found that pulling the seat plate and tidying up the wiring (especially the routing of the battery positive) and relays under it made room for a short extension and socket. As for the rear, I don't have a problem getting my hand under the guard when it is on the center stand, so no help there. This is with the 2/3 solo seat, but I have had the Italian bench fitted and it was the same. Tractor seat removes all that bother as the 4 bolts are reasonably easy to get too.

Easy enough to do the front nut on the later bikes. With the 3/4 seat fit bolts from underneath and secure with a half nut, then secure seat with nylocs from the top…..easy peasy for the future.
For bench seat…..Have not tried it but thought about making the rear bolts locating pins and just securing with the front nut. 👀

Drill a cross hole and fit an "r" clip and/or spacer washers to make it firm. That idea certainly has merit. Thanks Lee.

I doubt you would need the R clip. With front bolted and rear located….where can it go when you are sitting on it?

I doubt you would need the R clip. With front bolted and rear located….where can it go when you are sitting on it? Seat base is flexible. I'm sat on the front part. The back bit could elongate/damage the rear holes. I may start with r clip and modify later. Or not bother at all. How often do you really need to remove the seat, after auxiliaries are fitted.Since putting the battery charge leads on, and USB on the bars I've not felt the need.
