Gday riders,
I wanted to gauge any interest of a gathering in Tassy. I have a farm in the southern midlands where there is plenty of room to meet and ride locally. There is accom options and we can organise meals for any length of stay. I just picked up my 2013 Bondi and am happy to meet up or discuss going on adventures. Please get in touch if you or your buddies want to escape the city during the week or weekends. Regards,

Hi Paul, Good on you for suggesting a ride in Tas and well done on getting the Bondi. You will have lots of fun riding the Ural in Tassie. Have you had a sidecar before?
I am not planning a trip to Tassie (having been there over 70 times) but I will probably get back there some time and will give you a call when I do. I did try and enter my Ural in the Tassie Targa but they very politely knocked back my entry saying they don't accept three wheels. I didn't push the point by asking about entering a three wheel Morgan. I managed to do the Upper Natone targa stage under closed road conditions one year. Great fun!
Some of the highlights for me on a tour of Tassie are Cradle Mt, Ross Bakery, Mona, Pieman River and the western rack railway steam train trip. I have always enjoyed New Years Eve in Hobart as well.
Enjoy your riding, Longtravel

I'm tentatively planning a road trip from Sydney via the coast and then across on the Spirit in Feb 2023. I'll be sure to check in closer to the time and pick up some tips. In 2019 a few of us rented classic bikes from Dragonfly in Forth and did the centre and some of the north & west. Had a great time on a gorgeous R80.

Thanks for your replies. I haven’t had a sidecar before but did take training with John Taylor in Kentucky NSW. Got his thumbs up that I am less likely to kill my self now.
