A bit over 2000k and headers and cats back to the y Junction are blue, but nearly black. Does anyone have a magic concoction to remove the aforementioned coating. Or is it a result of crappy stainless? Therefore, keeping it clean every 2000k is a waste of time?? Thanks in anticipation.

I used a product called Purple, available at most auto outlets. Does a brilliant job. Below is a picture of my 41 year old classic I had, pipes were horrible when I got it. Took me many months by hand to get them right and thats how they stayed. Used to do the Ural occasionally. A little time consuming at first but when done will be easy to maintain. Good luck. Jake

Jake Thanks Jake. Wasn't sure you were still with us. Great to hear from you. I wanted to ask some details about the battery you had for your winch? Can you pm me?

Mine were black when I got them unfortunately. Every attempt to make them look nice has failed and I gave up. Good Luck.

Mine always end up brown from mud stain. 🤣. But they will clean up if you have time to burn.

Having spent about 10 days applying "Purple" every now and then. This where I am, so far. Once done I'm told subsequent cleaning is much easier. Mine went Honey, Blue and then a horrible rusty brown/black from the cyl head to just after the 2nd Cat. Its not finished yet. But is looking much better.
