Looking for something more definite about the cushdrive clearance relative to the spigots and perhaps the circlip adjuster on the spline.
All advice and comments greatfully received.
Cheers

There is a spec somewhere but I can’t find it now. I think it was 3mm max clearance……HOWEVER, due to the short drive lugs, it is more important to have them fully into the rubber. I use a lever lightly to push the shaft into the donut and if the circlip at the slip joint can be moved to the next rearward groove, that is where I fit it. Just like the valve clearances…..minimum clearance works best.

Thanks Lee. How does mine look on the video?? Or do I need to be watching the circlip when it gets levered.

Your drive lugs look to be almost flush with bike jacked up….assuming rear wheel hanging…..so with wheel on ground and a little suspension sag should have the lugs well in.

So, thats good? Is it possible they can be too far in?? Yours looks fine - unless something changed drastically after 2018. Can't remember which setting my circlip is on, but I do know that increasing the distance trashed a replacement donut when I stuffed around with the setting by a single notch. On mine there is an impression of the drive coupling on the face of the donut. Like yours the forks of the pusher end are flush with the forward face of the donut. Leave it alone and carry a spare.

Thanks Andy. I think increasing the distance, moving the circlip back, would push the spigots too far into the donut. Which is exactly what I was testing for. Too much gap at the donut would have the circlip too far forward. Not having seen the circlip yet, I imagine there may only be a short distance between circlip grooves.
