Based in Port Macquarie NSW with the option to ride from and return to Uralla, down the Oxley I guess.
Accommodation shouldn't be an issue
Some brilliant roads in the hinterlands North, West and South of Port Mac.
Be interesting to see if "The Needle and Jet" (Service Center only) are involved. Last I heard they wouldn't touch a Ural let alone service one. Hopefully that isn't right?
I have registered my interest and hope to see you there. Inshalla

Unfortunately will have to miss this one. Date clash with the Dargo High Plains Rally of which I am an organiser. 😢😢

I hope to be there. You're right Andy, the hinterland of Port Macquarie is sensational. I wonder if we're going up the Pt Plomer road towards Crescent Head? May have to work out how to strap a surfboard on....

We did that road about 10 years ago and had a ball in the soft sand. About 20 bikes from memory and only 3 of us got through without pushing……there is video…..lots of fun. 🤣🤣🤣 Will be sad to miss this year. 🥲

Looking at Google their Street View has Aug 21 footage showing good grading, but still shows lots of sand near North Beach. If they are going that way, then you guys can have an adventure and I will see you in the Green Room for a coffee when you get to Crescent. Maria River Road is more fun.

I agree Andy, Maria River Rd is usually pretty good. We can enjoy a pie at the bakery, then wait for the others to arrive. Last time I went down from Crescent to Plomer, (about two years ago) the road was so rough my mate in his Hi-Lux was annoyed because all his accessories had shaken loose. We didn't continue down, as the surf wasn't any good at Plomer so went back up the coast.

Bugger!!! Was looking forward to being there this year at last but a workplace fall has got me booked in for shoulder surgery in 10 days time. Then out of action for another 12 weeks. But the good news is I should be back pootling around for Christmas.

That's no good Aki.
I delayed back surgery until after this years ride, a few more weeks on anti-inflamatory meds won't hurt.... Hope it all goes well for you.

Back surgery, Shoulder surgery - what are you guys doing to yourselves?
As it is I won't be going which is unfortunate seeing it is only 100k's down the road. If there is a central breakfast spot please let me know and I will drive up and say hello. I finally have the slab poured for a workshop and with any luck the shed will arrive and be installed in the next month or so. Then the engine to comes out for a third and hopefully last time. Been waiting a few years for this so its a bit exciting. To put this in context, Tradies are reasonably cheap out here, but near on impossible to get onsite.... The slab was quoted 7 months ago.
