Something so simple yet has me so confused! (Disclaimer: I'm not very mechanically minded!)
I'm trying to install the sidecar light guards and finding that there's too much gap between the guard and the bike. The kit came with 4 washers and 1 thick spacer. The spacer fits perfectly either top or bottom but there's only one. Whereas the washes fit a bit flimsy. It seems like there should be two black spacers instead of washers? Can anyone please advise where the spacer goes and the where the washers? I'll add a photo of the bits from the kit. Thanks in advance. Nat

Plastic goes between the light housing and the guard you are fitting. Flat washers on the underside of the mudguard. Washers under the bolt head are optional.

I had the spacer on top but it felt like there was too much space on the bottom between the bolt and the guard hence I was wondering if there should've been another spacer in the kit. Sounds like it just needs a bit of tightening.
