Morning from Falls Creek gents.
Yesterday our engine light came on twice, first time going between Bright and Mount Beauty, was about 22 degrees, road speed.
Second was going to camp back of Falls Creek, 1600m and 15 degrees and a general climb but nothing steep.
Dunno if overheating or not, any codes to look for?

I missed the codes as the light went out, apparently you can only access the codes while the light is on.
No more light....see what happens.

Not sure about the new ones, but the light flickering once in a while was pretty common on the 14-18 range. Only time to be concerned was when it stayed on. If you are really concerned, pull all the connectors that run to sensors and CRC them.

A long slow climb will sometimes make it run hot, and bring on the engine light. Happens to me on the odd occasion, like going up Thunderbolts way from Gloucester. Or the dirt road over the central mountain on Bruny Island. If it goes out after three cycles, it's usually just getting hot. If it stays on for more than three cycles and it's not been climbing hills, it may be something to have a look at.

Thanks gents, if it does it again we will do the key thing while the light is on so we know what she is trying to tell us. Unlikely to to be overheating with the gradual climb and reasonably low external temps.
It's Russian .....
