Hi all, I’m thinking of getting a small 12v fridge/cooler box to sit in the chair when I go away. My question is…. What sort of amperage can you pull out of the 12v power point in the chair? It’s a 2020 Ranger Thanks Mick

Enough for a fridge/cooler. Not sure if I want one but any advice on a cooler, not to big and where would you place it?

We have a 50 Litre Waeco fridge/freezer. It draws about 4 Amps, which should be well under the fuse rating for a 12 Volt power socket. (Most vehicles have a 20 to 30 Amp fuse for the power outlet) The alternator can push 40 Amps. I'm currently battling running issues with our 2011 Tourist, but it has a 115 Amp hour battery in the boot, which runs the 2,045 kg winch. Once the running issues are fixed, I'll be fitting a dual battery isolator, so the winch battery can get charged. If you run into problems using just the standard 12 Volt outlet, a similar solution should be good, using a decent battery box's standard connections. Ours has a double USB, 12 Volt and 2 x Anderson socket, as well as the winch wireless receiver and relay. I'll try to remember to post photos and report on results.
